Alternative Fuel Vehicles

Alternative fuel vehicles are gaining popularity and a number of gas customers currently drive vehicles that are dedicated to natural gas. The City of Mesa has taken a leadership role in protecting and preserving our environment.

Natural gas as a vehicle fuel is significantly cleaner burning than gasoline and reduces carbon monoxide and particulate emissions. It is also efficient, safe, and economical, two-thirds the cost of gasoline. There are several advantages to converting to a natural gas vehicle (NGV). NGV owners are able to use the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes in Arizona.  Natural gas is convenient, safe, and good for the environment.

To save time and money a NGV re-fueling station can be installed at your home. How about that for total independence? Installing a fueling station also provides additional benefits to NGV owners:

  • Discounted natural gas rates (Page G-3 in rate book)
  • Ability to connect your vehicle to the refueling station each night and refuel your tank.

For more information on refueling stations, visit FuelMaker's website at: www.fuelmaker.com. To visit Arizona's statewide FuelMaker dealer, visit www.CNGaz.com or call CNG Services of Arizona, Inc. at (480) 461-5166.
