you know that natural gas is like the air — you
can't see it, feel it, or even smell it*?

Natural Gas Safety World
Natural
Gas Safety World uses information, experiments, games, and activities to
teach children the principles and safety of natural gas. This
program was designed to teach children in grades 3 through 7 the
important safety skills they need to make good choices around natural
gas.

That you cannot see,
feel, or even smell natural
gas?

*Since natural gas does
not smell, we add an odor to it that is
similar to the smell of rotten eggs. We
do this so that there is a leak you can
smell it. If you ever smell gas,
you should tell an adult immediately,
and leave the area.

Natural gas is
considered a fossil fuel because it
comes from the remains that formed from
the fossils we find today.
This material could have been marine
animals, swamp vegetation, giant trees,
or even dinosaurs.

Your bubble bath

Your swimming pool

Even the family car
