In addition to duties listed above, The Utility Service Section provides
public education to its customers and citizens of Mesa for the City's
water and gas infrastructure incorporating the key goals of protecting
life, property, and the environment. We provide public safety related
information on site for new and existing customers. Examine high utility
bill concerns and conduct usage evaluations for gas and water usage.
Utility Service Field Specialists install and maintain residential
and small commercial water and gas meters, this includes defective or
non-operational meters and meters which are in need of exchanging and
upgrading due to their past life expectancy. Utility Service meter
maintenance programs exchange aged water, gas, and electric meters as
part of a (CMTP) change meter test program in ensuring accurate metering
of the commodity.
