Deputy City Manager Kari Kent

As a Deputy City Manager, Kari Kent oversees Neighborhood Services, Development Services, Solid Waste, Arts & Cultural, Library and the Mayor/Council Support Staff.

Ms. Kent has been with the City since 1993. She was promoted to Solid Waste Management Director in 1999 and Assistant Development Services Director in July 2001. She has been Neighborhood Services Director since June 2006. In this capacity, she oversaw Code Compliance, Housing and Community Revitalization, Diversity Office, Neighborhood Outreach and Historic Preservation. Kent will continue as Acting Neighborhood Services Director until a replacement is named.

Kent received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Northern Arizona University and a Masters of Public Administration from Arizona State University.
