Replacement of Dobson Police Station
District: 3
Location: 2505 S. Dobson
Project Description: The existing Dobson
Station was constructed in 1980 and is insufficient
for today's district station needs. The building is
a Police and Fire shared facility and the building's
capacity concerns have been brought to the forefront
due to the recent decentralization of
resources to the district stations. There is not
enough capacity at the current location to
effectively address the needs of the city, nor is
there room for expansion on the site. The
proposed replacement building will require
approximately 23,250 square feet for the
capacity for 225-250 police personnel. The
boundaries for the proposed new site will be
Guadalupe to the south, Main Street to the north and
Country Club, north of Baseline,
east to Mesa Drive.
Project Cost: $15,000,000
First Full Year O&M: $223,899
Fiscal Years: 2008/09, 2009/10
