Greenfield Road: Baseline to Southern Avenue

District: 6
Category: Regional Transportation Plan
Project Description:
With traffic from the Superstition Freeway and
recent
development, Greenfield Road needs to be improved to
accommodate traffic growth. The Greenfield Road
interchange
with US-60 is the only interchange from Mesa's west
City limits to
Power Road that still has only one left turn lane in
each direction
to enter the freeway. This project is a Regional
Transportation
Plan project to mitigate traffic delay and
congestion and enhance
safety. Specifically this project will widen
Greenfield Road to a six lane
arterial with a raised median and add dual left turn
lanes to
enter US-60 for northbound and southbound.
Project Cost: $6,419,030
RTP Reimbursement: $4,837,000
Total Bond Amount: $1,582,030
Reimbursement Outside 5-Year: 0
First Full Year O&M: $7,577
Fiscal Years: 2008/09, 2009/10
