The City of Mesa elects its Mayor at-large and one Councilmember from each of six (6) geographic districts. Voters choose the Mayor and their Councilmember every four years.  District Councilmembers serve overlapping terms, with three (3) Councilmembers being elected at a time. When are City elections held?

2008 Mayoral and Council Election

Due to the passage of recent legislation, Mesa's 2008 Mayoral and Council Elections are being held on a spring election cycle. The Primary Election was held on March 11, 2008 and a General Election (Runoff Election), will be held on May 20, 2008.

2010 Council Election

The 2010 Council Elections (and all subsequent Council Elections) will be held on a fall election cycle (September/November).
