Political and Campaign Signs
- One sign is permitted per street frontage per lot (if on a corner, one
sign is allowed per street frontage).
- Signs must be 15 feet from the face of the curb or edge of pavement
where no curb or sidewalk exists.
- Signs may not be posted on city property. (Sign will be
immediately confiscated.)
- Signs may not be posted in such a way as to cause a traffic visibility
hazard. (Sign will be immediately confiscated.)
- Signs may not be posted in public right of way (landscaped area between
an arterial street and a residential lot).
- Signs must be removed 10 days following the election.
Procedure
- Sign is determined to be in violation of ordinance.
- Sign is tagged.
- Campaign is notified to correct violation within 24 hours.
- If sign is not corrected, it is confiscated and placed in the city sign
yard. Signs may be retrieved by appointment.
- Each campaign will receive three (3) corrective contacts. Signs
found in violation following the 3 contacts will be automatically
confiscated.
