The Office of Economic Development administers
an Entrepreneurial and Small Business Development Program designed to
foster the formation and expansion of small business enterprises,
stimulate diversity in the local business community, and enhance Mesa’s
small business environment.

Want to start or improve a small business? Don't do it
alone! Join the City of Mesa Library for an evening workshop to learn about
free business resources in the community, including SBA, SCORE, SBDC, SELF,
Mesa's Office of Economic Development, and your City of Mesa Library. You'll
learn about counseling, training, services, business databases, and
reference tools to give you the edge.

Recognizing that small businesses need specific assistance, the development
center has instituted specialized programs. Business owners will find
assistance with business planning, finance and accounting, operations,

The Arizona Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce's strong efforts to keep member businesses

City of Mesa Business Financing Assistance NEDCO
NEDCO,
a non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), provides
expansion and start-up loans for businesses in Mesa. Some loans are
directly financed from NEDCO's Community Development Loan Fund, others are
provided through Arizona MultiBank Community Development Corporation. Some
projects may qualify for a partial guarantee from the City of Mesa. In
addition, NEDCO provides technical assistance to businesses on business
plans and project concepts. |

The
Employee
Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) of the U.S. Department of
Labor administers and enforces many provisions of the Employee Retirement
Income Security Act (ERISA), which protects the pension benefits of
employees and retirees in private sector plans.

includes So. California, Arizona and Hawaii. The Outreach, Education and
Assistance Unit is available to help you identify the type of program that
