Mesa Named one of the Top 10 Digital Cities for 2006 and 2005!
For two years in a row, Mesa has been listed in the top 10 cities (populations > 250,000 category) for our work in using technology to better serve our citizens.

 

 

2006 Digital Government Achievement & Best of the Web Awards

Mesa was recently named as a winner in the Government-to-Citizen Local Government category from the Center for Digital Government for the new technologies developed for our Mesa Arts Center. 

 

In addition to being named a winner, Mesa also received an honorable mention for our City employee intranet, which provides quick and easy access to information employees need to do their jobs.

 

 

2006 ESRI Special Achievement in GIS Award
Mesa was recently awarded the 2006 ESRI SAG Award for our interactive, web-based GIS applications that provide field crews with property and asset data while in the field, the ability to track maintenance on gas valves, generate custom mailing lists to notify citizens of upcoming construction projects, and the ability to intuitively create custom maps as needed.

   
2005/ 2006 PTI Technology Solutions Award
Mesa was recognized for its work in converting the Purchasing Application from the mainframe to a web-based application.  
This annual awards program recognizes local governments that have demonstrated how - through the use of technology - their government has improved services to the community, improved internal operations, or reduced costs.
