Building Strong Neighborhoods
Y ou may notice Outreach Coordinators
going door-to-door in parts of Mesa. We are gathering
information from residents for the city’s Building Strong
Neighborhoods Initiative.
The primary goal of the program is to preserve and strengthen
neighborhoods by providing residents and businesses with
education, training, and access to existing resources to address
neighborhood issues.
Through this program, residents will become better organized and
engaged in the civic process to effect positive change in
neighborhoods.
The program will address the unique needs and diverse issues in
a wide variety of neighborhoods throughout the city.
During each kick-off meeting, residents will identify and
prioritize neighborhood concerns and begin to work with various
city departments to address these issues in a four-week period.
