Mesa Takes Pride in ALL Its Neighborhoods
The Neighborhood Services Department is focused on
keeping Mesa's neighborhoods healthy, attractive and
positive places in which to live, work and invest.
Department staff work with citizen groups,
non-profit agencies, the Downtown Development,
Historic Preservation Committee and Housing and
Human Services Advisory Board, City departments and
the City Council in serving Mesa citizens.
Neighborhood Services, overseen by Department
Manager, Ray Villa, is
comprised of Code Compliance,
Community
Revitalization (which includes the
Office of Human
Services), Housing Services,
Neighborhood Outreach,
Office of Diversity
and Historic Preservation.
Code Compliance educates citizens about city
regulations for community maintenance standards.
Community Revitalization manages programs that
benefit low-income residents and their
neighborhoods.
Housing Services administers the Rental Assistance,
Housing Rehabilitation and Escobedo Housing
programs.
Office of
Neighborhood Outreach identifies resources
for Mesa residents to improve their neighborhoods.
Office of
Historic Preservation is dedicated to
preserving Mesa’s historical assets.
Office of
Diversity is works to foster an awareness,
understanding and respect for the differences that
make us each unique human beings.
