Family Violence Unit

The following is information about the Domestic Violence resources that are available through the Mesa Police Department Victim Services Unit located at the Center Against Family Violence.

We are Victim Services with the Center Against Family Violence of the Mesa Police Department. We follow up on situations which result in a  person being a victim of Domestic Violence.

 

We would like to offer information and assistance to you and your family about:

  • Case Disposition
  • Order of Protection Information / Service
  • Safety Planning
  • Free Counseling
  • Resources and Referrals
  • Crisis Intervention / Support Service
  • In Home Crisis Intervention
  • Domestic Violence Education
  • 911 phone and recorder program

Domestic Violence Detectives

  • Detectives housed at each district specially trained in Domestic Violence issues, laws and victimology.
  • Responsible for reviewing Domestic Violence cases and taking appropriate action as quickly as possible.
  • Interact with other district officers to improve communication and response.

  • Domestic Violence warrant arrests
  • Liaison with patrol
  • Patrol training
  • Victim and suspect education
  • Assist other agencies
