Mesa Police seek public assistance in identifying ATM burglars

On March 9, 2008 at 5:20 a.m., unknown suspects backed a stolen van into the front of a Walgreen's store located at 3600 N. Power Road in Mesa and attempted to take the ATM machine.

After ramming the front doors of the store several times with the van the suspects were able to gain entry. Two unknown suspects, wearing all black, exited the van and attempted to load the ATM machine into their vehicle. The suspects were unable to open the back doors of the van due to the damage caused when they rammed the vehicle into the store. The suspects left the ATM machine behind and fled the scene in the van. The van was located a short distance from the crime scene and the suspects are still outstanding. The front of the store sustained extensive damage.

Investigators are asking anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
