Mesa Police Department - Media Release

Mesa Police Clergy Forum to host clean-up day and concert

Several youth from the various churches represented in the Mesa Police Department Clergy Forum have come together for a clean-up day and concert event.  The clean-up event will take place in the Reed Park Neighborhood at Longfellow Elementary School located at 345 S. hall from 9;00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Approximately 120 young men and women will be on campus to plant shrubs and trees, paint, and clean up the campus.

We are proud of each and every one of these young men and women who recognize the importance of community service. Their commitment to this project is a positive example to all members of our community. After the clean-up, a concert event is scheduled to take place at the school from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The concert will feature 10 different inspirationally charged bands associated with various faiths. The concert is free to the public and members of the community are certainly encouraged to attend.

Members of the media are invited to the clean-up and concert event. If you would like more information about the Chief's Community Forums, please contact Community Partnership Coordinator, Denise Traves, at 480-644-2620.
