Mesa Police seeking hit and run vehicle

The Mesa Police Department is currently investigating an injury hit and run collision that occurred this evening at approximately 8:41 p.m.

A 43-year-old Hispanic male was walking northbound from Broadway and Bellview. As the male was crossing Broadway, the vehicle driving westbound in the curb lane did not stop for the male and collided into him. The vehicle continued to drive westbound on Broadway. The pedestrian male was immediately transported to a local hospital where he is currently undergoing medical treatment and specific injuries are unknown at this time.

The suspect vehicle is described as a brown four-door passenger vehicle. Witnesses reported to police there were approximately 2-3 males inside the vehicle.

It was also reported the pedestrian possibly collided into the driver side front area of the brown vehicle. The driver side mirror broke off and was located at the scene.
