East Valley RIDEChoice

East Valley RIDEChoice offers seniors and disabled individuals four options for non-emergency transportation services, including:

Seniors 65 years of age or older and disabled people who possess a Valley Metro Identification Card can receive reduced-fare bus passes for $17 per month. Passes can be purchased at the City of Mesa Municipal Building, located at 55 N. Center Street. You may also purchase a Valley Metro Identification Card at this location.  For more information, call 602-495-5795 or visit Valley Metro to download an application.

This program provides qualifying Mesa residents a 44 cents per mile reimbursement for car trips when a non-residing friend or family member drives them. The passenger chooses their own driver - East Valley RIDEChoice does not assign drivers. Reimbursements are made directly to the participating East Valley RIDEChoice passengers, who are then required to pass along the payment to their volunteer drivers. The Mileage Reimbursement program is for seniors aged 65 or over and for disabled adults aged 18 through 64 who possess a current disability certification. Reimbursement is limited to 300 miles per month. To receive an application, contact East Valley Senior Services, Transportation at 480-962-RIDE (7433) or download and print the form. Special needs assistance in completing the initial application can also be provided; please call first to make an appointment.

This program is for Mesa residents aged 65 or over OR for disabled adults aged 18 through 64 who possess a current disability certification. Under this program, participants request coupon booklets at a nominal co-pay of $2.50 for one book, valued at $10.00.  Residents can purchase up to $100.00 at a time.  The coupons can then be applied toward the fares of participating taxi companies.  To receive an application, contact East Valley Senior Services, Transportation at 480-962-RIDE (7433) or download and print the form. Special needs assistance in completing the initial application can also be provided; please call first to make an appointment.

This service operates daily in Mesa from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., including weekends and holidays. Extended service hours, 4 a.m. to midnight (to be booked at least one day in advance), are provided for those who qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This service is available to individuals who possess a current disability certification and for seniors aged 65 or over. Due to high demand, you may need to book ride reservations 72 hours in advance.  For more information, visit East Valley Dial-A-Ride or call 480-633-7221.

Please remember that only Mesa residents are eligible for the Mileage Reimbursement and the Coupons for Cabs programs.
