Traffic Signals
Traffic Signals group is responsible for the
operation and maintenance of the over 370 traffic
signals.
This workgroup manages the operation of the
computerized traffic signal system which is designed
to tie the operation of the city's over 370
signalized intersection to a single control center,
Transportation Management Center (TMC). This
function includes traffic signal synchronization and
modification and changing timing or adding protected
turn phases.

workgroup performs the daily operations for
repairing and maintaining traffic signals, flashing
school zones, illuminated overhead street name signs
and inspects the work of contractors performing signal
construction.
