"Bag and Tie" Program
Arizona and local ordinances
require residents to seal garbage that can cause
unsanitary conditions and breeding of flies before placing
it in the BLACK barrel.
- Food Waste
- Wet Grasses (unless they are going into the green
barrel)
- Animal Waste
Mesa's Quality Assurance Inspectors find a large number
of unsealed or paper garbage bags containing food waste in
the black refuse barrels on collection days. Please
help maintain the sanitary conditions for a safe
environment by bagging and tying your trash.
Don't forget to
'bag & tie'
your trash
before placing
it into the
BLACK barrel!
