Are
you interested in keeping your neighborhood clean and beautiful? Then you
may be interested in participating in our "Clean Sweep/Green Sweep"

unsightly debris.

To
participate in the Clean Sweep/Green Sweep Program, individuals must be City of
Mesa solid waste residential customers receiving curbside barrel service. In addition, a minimum of ten
homeowners living next to one another are needed in order to request a roll-off
(large garbage container) for the neighborhood. Neighborhoods may schedule
a Clean Sweep/Green Sweep event in their area once a year (based on fiscal year;
July -June). Please
note: Some rental properties and vacant lot cleanups may be ineligible to
participate in this program. Also, since this program is offered free of
charge to promote the concept of neighbors working together, hired contractors
(i.e.-landscapers) are not permitted to use containers during cleanup event. No.
The container is provided free-of-charge to eligible Mesa residents. Each cleanup requires a designated person from the
neighborhood to fill out the necessary paperwork to initiate the Clean
Sweep/Green Sweep request process. This person will be responsible for the
following items:
- Completing a roll-off service agreement
- Submitting a list of all participating homeowners
- Ensuring that the containers do not become overloaded
- Upon approval, coordinator will be responsible for copying and
distributing neighborhood notification flyers to residents two weeks prior
to event to inform them of scheduled cleanup days and container
locations. In addition, coordinator will also receive a random number
of customer survey cards to distribute to neighborhood residents.
